(00:09)Korea, the land of morning calm, Heaven sends its blessings to the soil that has lasted for five thousand years. 
고요한 아침의 나라 한국, 하늘이 한국에게 5,000년 동안 비옥한 토양을 주었습니다. 

The clear blue of the East Sea, the sparkling mountains and rivers, that brought brilliant culture and prosperity to the land. 
동해의 깨끗한 푸른 바닷물과 반짝이는 산과 강은 이 땅에 멋진 문화와 번영을 가져다주었습니다. 

Her glory will shine in the world.

Korea is in the temperate zone with seasonal monsoons and four distinct seasons. 
한국은 온대계절풍 구역에 속해 있으며 뚜렷한 4계절을 가지고 있습니다.

Korea󰡑s spring comes with forsythia, azalea and other flowers. 
한국의 봄은 개나리와 진달래 및 다른 꽃들과 함께 옵니다. 

Green foliage covers the land in summer in Korea. It also is a season of growth and maturity. 
여름에는 푸른 잎들이 한국의 대지를 뒤덮고 있으며 왕성한 성장기와 성숙기이기도 합니다. 

The high, blue sky of Korea’s autumn. The blue of celadons in the sky, and the crimson and yellow of maples upon the hills and mountains. 
한국의 가을은 푸른 하늘의 푸른색, 언덕과 산에 있는 단풍나무의 진홍색과 주황색으로 물들어 있습니다. 

The snow turns the country white in winter. Winter is the season of peace and quiet in Korea.
겨울에는 하얀 눈에 의해 흰색으로 바뀌고 평화롭고 조용한 계절이 됩니다. 

And the monsoon brings the dawning of another season, spring, and thus the cycle of the seasons repeats every year. 
그리고 계절풍은 다른 계절의 시작을 가져오고, 계절의 순환이 매년 반복됩니다.

(01:28)On this auspicious day, President and Mrs. Nguyen Van Thieu of the Republic of Vietnam arrive at the invitation of President Park Chung-Hee of the Republic of Korea.
이 축복의 날에 베트남 공화국의 응우옌 반 티우 대통령과 부인은 박정희 대통령의 초청으로 한국 서울에 도착했습니다. 

Alighting from the plane, President Thieu embraces President Park, an old friend who represents one of the closest allies of the Republic of Vietnam. 
티우 대통령은 비행기에서 내려, 베트남 공화국의 가장 가까운 연맹이자 옛 친구인 박정희 대통령과 서로 포옹을 하였습니다. 

President Thieu then exchanges greetings with foreign and domestic dignitaries, including assembly Speaker Lee Hyo-Sang and Premier Chung Il-Kwon. 
티우 대통령은 이효상 국회의장과 국무총리 정일권을 비롯하여 국내외 고위 인사들과 인사를 나눴습니다. 

The President then enjoys his reunion with General Chae Myong-shin, the former Commander of the Republic of Korea forces in Vietnam. 
티우 대통령은 주 베트남 한국군 사령관이었던 채명신 장군과의 만남을 가졌습니다. 

Thus Vietnam President Nguyen Van Thieu begins his four-day Korean tour, reaffirming the common goals of Korea and Vietnam and seeking to chart future courses of action.
이로부터 응우옌 반 티우 베트남 대통령의 4일간의 한국방문 일정이 시작되었으며 한국과 베트남의 공동목표를 재확인하고 한국과 베트남의 미래에 대한 전략을 모색했습니다.

(02:25)In his welcoming address, President Park says “Although we are far off in terms of distance, we are united by the particularly close bonds of friendship, and share many common points.” 
박 대통령은 환영사에서 “우리는 멀리 떨어져 있지만 친밀한 유대관계에 의해 단결되어 있으며 많은 공통점을 공유하고 있다.”라고 말했습니다. 

In reply, president Thieu says, he arrived here not as a stranger, but as one who has had several occasions to appreciate the hospitality of the Korean people. 
이에 대해 티우 대통령은 답사에서 “나는 이방인이 아니라 한국인의 여러 차례의 환대에 대한 감사한 마음으로 이곳에 도착했다.”라고 말했습니다.

(03:02)The leaders of both nations then head for downtown Seoul. 
그 후 양국의 지도자들은 서울의 시내로 갔습니다. 

The welcoming arches and national flags of the two countries displayed along the streets, and the rain of confetti thrown from buildings along the main streets, exemplify the enthusiastic welcome extended by Koreans. 
환영문과 두 나라의 깃발이 길가에 전시되어 있으며, 주요 거리의 양쪽에 있는 건물에는 화려한 색종이들이 휘날리고 있으며 한국인의 열렬한 환영을 반영하고 있습니다. 

Some of whom have sent their husbands and sons to the Vietnam front for justice, pledging all out efforts to deter the communists, the enemies of mankind. 
환영하는 인파 중 어떤 사람은 남편과 아들을 정의를 위해 베트남 전선으로 보내 공산주의라는 인류의 적을 막기 위해 최선을 다할 것을 약속했습니다. 

President and Mrs. Thieu then attend a welcoming rally, at Seoul’s City hall plaza. 
티우 대통령과 부인은 시청에서 열리는 환영회에 참석했습니다. 

He says he is happy to visit the heroic city, which has known the ravages and horrors of war, and has now become a beautiful capital vibrating with activity. 
그는 전쟁의 황폐함과 공포를 알고 있는 영웅적인 도시를 방문하는 것이 행복하고 영광스럽다고 말하며 지금 이 도시는 시민의 활약으로 아름다운 수도가 되었다고 말했습니다. 

Receiving the key to the special city of Seoul from Mayor Kim Hyon-Ok, he responds to the cheering crowd, which “Kam-sa-ham-nida”, or thank you. 
서울특별시 김현옥 시장님으로부터 열쇠를 받은 티우 대통령은 환호하는 군중에게 “감사합니다.” 혹은 “Thank you.” 라고 답변을 주었습니다.

(04:12)After a brief stopover at Yungbingwan, the state guesthouse, President Thieu and his party pay a courtesy call on President Park at Chongwadae, the Presidential residence. 
국빈 호텔인 영빈관에서 잠깐 머물고 티우 대통령과 그의 일행들은 대통령 거주지인 청와대에서 박대통령을 예방했습니다. 

The visiting presidential couple exchange greetings and engage in friendly conversation with President Park and the First lady. 
서로 만난 대통령부부는 서로 인사를 하고 우호적인 대화를 나눴습니다. 

President Thieu then introduces to President Park members of his entourage. Foreign Minister Tran Chanh Thanh, Defense Minister Nguyen Van Vy, Economic Minister Au Ngoc Ho, Land Reform and Agriculture Minister Cao Van Than, General Cao Van Vien, Chief of the Joint General staff and ambassador to Korea and Mrs. Pham Xuan Chieu. 
그 후 티우 대통령은 박 대통령께 외무장관 Tran Chanh Thanh, 국방부 장관 Nguyen Van Vy, 경제장관 Au Ngoc Ho, 토지개혁 및 농업장관 Cao Van Than, 국방부 장군 Cao Van Vien, 총재 보좌관 Pham Xuan Chieu을 소개시켜 줬습니다. 

The Presidential couples then exchange souvenirs as a gesture of friendly reunion. 
대통령 내외분들은 상봉을 기념하기 위해 기념품을 교환했습니다. 

At 6 p.m., President Thieu and his party attend a reception and state dinner hosted by President and Mrs. Park Chung Hee. 
오후 6시 티우 대통령과 그의 일행은 박 대통령과 그의 부인이 주최하는 리셉션과 저녁 식사에 참석했습니다. 

In the evening, a folk art festival is held at Citizens’ Hall. 
저녁에는 시민회관에서 민속예술제가 열렸습니다. 

Amid thunderous applause, President and Mrs, Thieu guided by Minister of Culture and Information Shin Bum Shik, take their seats in the presidential boxes. 
열렬한 박수속에서 신범식 문화부 장관의 안내로 티우 대통령과 그의 부인께서는 대통령특석에 앉았습니다. 

In honour of the State guest, a colorful folk dances and music, including Changu Dance are performed.
외빈의 방문을 기념하기 위해 장구춤을 비롯한 다채로운 민속춤과 음악이 공연되었습니다.

(06:55)National cemetery at Dongjak-dong, Seoul. On the second day of the state visit, President Thieu pays tribute to those who sacrificed their lives at the Vietnam front. 
방문의 둘째 날, 티우 대통령은 동작동 국립묘지를 방문하였으며 베트남전쟁에서 자신의 목숨을 희생한 한국군에게 경의를 표했습니다.

The President perhaps reaffirmed his own will and determination to pulverize the communists.
티우 대통령은 공산주의를 분쇄하기 위한 자신의 의지와 결의를 다시 보여주는 것 일지도 모릅니다. 

(07:58)President Thieu then visits military academy located on the outskirts of Seoul. The President review the honor guard, composed of cadets. 
그 다음 티우 대통령은 서울 외곽의 육군사관학교를 방문했고, 그 현장에서 사관후보생들로 구성된 열병식을 사열했습니다.

Here, President emphasizes that our two nations are comrades in arms, fighting for the peace and future of the whole world. 
티우 대통령은 양국은 연맹이며 세계 평화와 미래를 위해 싸운다는 점을 강조했습니다. 

The visiting President offers to the academy array a souvenir, a red Chinese made CKC rifle seals near the Vietnamese and Cambodian borders. 
티우 대통령은 사관학교에 베트남과 캄보디아 국경 부근에서 거둔 중국산 CKC소총인장 기념품을 선물했습니다.

(08:36)A made warm welcome by the enthusiastic students, President Thieu arrived at the campus of Seoul National University, professor Choi Moon Hwan, President of the university awards to President Thieu an honorary doctor of degree. 
열정적인 학생들의 열렬한 환영 하에 티우 대통령은 서울대학교에 도착했고 최문환 총장께서 티우 대통령에게 명예 박사학위를 수여했습니다. 

President Thieu then makes an impressive speech. 
그 후 티우 대통령은 아주 인상적인 연설을 진행했습니다.

(09:06)In the evening, president and Mrs. Thieu host a reception at Yungbingwan for families of Korean soldiers fighting in Vietnam. 
저녁에는 티우 대통령과 영부인께서는 영빈관에서 베트남에서 싸우는 한국군 병사들의 가족들을 접대했습니다. 

Madam Thieu present souvenirs to wives of the R.O.K soldiers, saying that they should take them as presents from their husbands in Vietnam. 
영부인은 군인의 가족들에게 기념품을 선물했으며 베트남에서 싸우고 있는 남편으로부터 받은 선물로 여겨달라고 말했습니다. 

The First lady of Vietnam then visits the Army Hospital and encourages soldiers who were injured on the Vietnam front. 
베트남의 영부인은 또 육군병원을 방문하여 베트남 전선에서 부상당한 병사들을 격려했습니다. 

Madam Thieu then inspects Veterans Village in Yeongdeungpo. 
영부인은 또 영등포에 있는 참전용사들의 마을을 방문했습니다. 

She encourages the veterans in the village and applause wheel-chaired veterans who hit the targets with bow and arrow.
그는 참전용사들에게 격려를 보냈고 휠체어에 앉아 활을 쏘아 맞추는 모습을 보고 박수를 보내기도 했습니다.

(10:30)On the third day of the visit, Madam Thieu visits the National Art Museum at Seoul’s historic Deoksu palace. 
방문 셋째 날, 베트남 영부인은 오랜 역사를 가진 덕수궁 국립미술관을 방문했습니다. 

She appreciates precious art objects, including a gold crown of Silla times and various items of celadon pottery, the legacy of the brilliant culture in Korea‘s past. 
그녀는 신라시대의 금관과 화려한 문화유산인 다양한 청자 등 귀중한 예술품을 높이 평가했습니다. 

She then visits the secret garden. She seemed to be particularly interested in Injeongjeon, the Royal Palace of the Lee Dynasty. 
다음으로 영부인은 비원, 이 왕조의 왕실의 궁전인 인정전을 방문했습니다. 

On the third day of the State Visit, President Thieu arrives the Busan via special airplane to inspect Ulsan Industrial Center. 
국빈 방문 삼 일째, 티우 대통령은 특별비행기로 부산에 도착하여 울산 공업단지를 관람했습니다. 

President Thieu seemed to be specially interested in the Korea Oil Corporation plant, one of the largest in the Orient which produces one hundred and fifteen thousand barrels of oil daily. 
티우 대통령은 특히 하루에 11만 5천 배럴의 원유를 생산하는 아시아에서 가장 큰 석유공장 중 하나인 한국석유공장에 관심을 보였습니다. 

The president then inspects the world‘s largest Fertilizer plant, whose annual production capacity is three hundred and thirty thousand tons. 
티우 대통령은 또 연간 생산 능력이 33만 톤(t)인 세계에서 가장 큰 비료공장을 관람하였습니다. 

A summit talk is held in the newly built conference room in Cheongwadae. The Presidents of both nations talk privately for an hour and fifteen minutes.
그 후 청와대의 새 회의실에서 두 정상 간의 회의가 열렸는데 두 대통령은 개인적인 대화를 1시간 15분 동안 진행했습니다.

(12:02)Prior to departure, President Thieu attends a press interview requested by the Journalist’s Association of Korea. 
출국 전, 티우 대통령은 한국기자협회와의 기자회견에 참석했습니다. 

In the interview, held at Seoul‘s Freedom Center, President Thieu emphasizes that he will never form any coalition government with the so-called National liberation front. 
티우 대통령은 서울 자유무역 센터에서 열린 인터뷰에서 이른바 민족해방전선과는 절대 연맹을 구성하지 않을 것이라고 강조했습니다. 

He further says: “One needs to be vigilant and patient, for a false peace agreement would result in adverse effects to the security of the whole Asian vision.” 
그는 또한 사람들이 경계심과 인내심을 가져야한다고 말하며 잘못된 평화 협정은 아시아 전체의 비전 및 안보에 부정적인 영향을 미칠 것이라고 말했습니다. 

Amid hundreds of thousands of well wishers, President Nguyen Van Thieu of the Republic of Vietnam heads back home. 
수십만 명의 축복 속에 베트남 공화국 대통령 응우옌 반 티우는 고향으로 돌아갔습니다. 

President Thieu’s historic State Visit to Korea marked another historic milestone in further strengthening of the close ties of friendship between the two freedom loving nations.
티우 대통령의 역사적인 한국방문은 자유를 사랑하는 양국 간의 긴밀한 우호관계를 더욱 강화시키는 또 다른 역사적인 이정표가 되었습니다.
